Dijous dia 23 de gener a les 12:00h a la Sala de Reunions, Edifici Ramon Llull al Campus UIB

Abstract: Contemporary societies are experiencing a series of crises. The Covid-19 crisis presented an opportunity to understand some of the inner workings of societies, rethink political legitimacy, and analyse the effects on the everyday life we normally take for granted. Health and welfare became the main priorities. The problems society faced were multifaceted and complex. Understanding these challenges in dept called for interdisciplinary research and problem-orientation. In the presentation, Pelle Korsbæk Sørensen will take departure from a Foucauldian analysis of the Danish approach to handling the lockdowns of society by asking for people to shown social-mindedness as an example. In addition, we will open a dialogue on the learning potentials of the future based onanalysing crises from an interdisciplinary perspective.
